Support Groups

Alcoholic Anonymous (AA)

Date: Monday – Friday  Time: 5:30 p.m. – 6:30 p.m.

Date: Saturday   Time: 9:30 a.m. – 10:30 a.m.

Young Persons

Date: Every Friday  Time: 8:00 p.m. – 9:00 p.m.

Location: Community Room

Description:

Alcoholics Anonymous (AA) is a worldwide organization designed to help former alcoholics support one another throughout their recovery journey while maintaining their sobriety. These programs continue to thrive at Emmanuel.  Individuals who attend AA groups are committed to stop abusing alcohol and remain sober. The meetings offer a multitude of ways to support ongoing recovery.

Circles of Support and Accountability (C.O.S.A.)

Date: Tuesdays and Thursdays

Time: 7:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m. (Tuesdays) Upstairs Bible Study Room

6:30 p.m. – 8:00 p.m. (Thursdays)

Location: Upstairs Bible Study Room

Description:

COSA is a recovery program for men and women whose lives have been affected by another person’s compulsive sexual behavior. Adapted from Alcoholics Anonymous and Al-Anon, COSA is a program for our spiritual development, no matter what our religious beliefs.

Gamanon

Gam-Anon is a fellowship of men and women who have been affected by the gambling problem of another.

Overeaters

Date: Every Sunday

Description:

No matter what your problem with food — compulsive overeating, under-eating, food addiction, anorexia, bulimia, binge eating, or overexercising — we have a solution.

Sex Anonymous Group (S.A.G.)

Description:

Sexaholics Anonymous is a fellowship of men and women who share their experience, strength, and hope with each other that they may solve their common problem of lust, sex, and pornography addiction!  Has sex with self or with someone other than your spouse become destructive? Are you hooked and cannot stop? Do you long to be happy, joyous and free?  We can help!

Starability

Date: Every Wednesday

Time: 10:00 a.m. – 3:00 p.m.

Description:

These programs continue to thrive at Emmanuel.  Each week there are six Alcoholic Anonymous meetings, two Sex Anonymous meetings, an Overeaters Anonymous meeting, and one Gamblers Anonymous meeting. Approximately 500 people participate in these programs on any given week.
