We have a beautiful facility here at Mooring Line. We can host events including funerals, weddings, baptisms, fellowship meals and rental community space. The Sanctuary is a warm, contemporary-feeling and inviting.

Church Security
The last two decades have seen a rise in shootings in public areas throughout our country. Places that have historically been considered safe are no longer exempt from violence. Since 1999, there have been 23 fatal church shootings in the US. In July 2022, the ELC Council formed a Security & Safety Committee to address this growing concern and mitigate the risk to our congregation. Since its inception, the committee has conducted Department of Homeland Security-provided vulnerability assessments at Mooring Line Drive and Oil Well Road that identified vulnerabilities and provided a roadmap for a safer place of worship.
The plan that was developed consists of three phases. The first phase aimed to identify and implement process improvements that increase the security posture at little to no cost. The second phase researched and evaluated enterprise security systems for possible integration in the future. The third and final phase will codify in written policies and procedures a detailed security and safety program that will serve as a base document for the training of staff and volunteers. Las últimas dos décadas han visto un aumento en los tiroteos en áreas públicas en todo nuestro país. Los lugares que históricamente se han considerado seguros ya no están exentos de violencia. Desde 1999, ha habido 23 tiroteos fatales en iglesias en los Estados Unidos. En julio de 2022, el Consejo de ELC formó un Comité de seguridad y protección para abordar esta creciente preocupación y mitigar el riesgo para nuestra congregación. Desde sus inicios, el comité ha realizado evaluaciones de vulnerabilidad proporcionadas por el Departamento de Seguridad Nacional en Mooring Line Drive y Oil Well Road que identificaron vulnerabilidades y proporcionaron una hoja de ruta para un lugar de culto más seguro.
El plan que se elaboró consta de tres fases. La primera fase tuvo como objetivo identificar e implementar mejoras de procesos que aumenten la postura de seguridad a un costo mínimo o nulo. La segunda fase investigó y evaluó los sistemas de seguridad empresarial para una posible integración en el futuro.
