Emmanuel Church at Oil Well Road
Why do we worship?
The simple answer is that we worship and praise God, because God is worthy of our worship and praise. As Christians rooted in the Lutheran tradition, we strive to keep worship centered on the Gospel. Which means that we need to hear and experience what God has done for us and the promises assured by Jesus Christ’s death and resurrection. Each Sunday we encounter these promises through hearing the Word proclaimed and receiving the Sacraments. In doing so, we are reminded that our place in the Kingdom of God was secured through Jesus and then sent to show that same unfailing hope to our neighbors.
