Emmanuel Church at Oil Well Road Sunday School

Welcome to our Sunday School, Grow with Us, where children from preschool through 6th grade are invited to discover God’s love in fun and engaging ways. Each week, we plant seeds of faith through

Bible stories, songs, crafts and hands-on activities that help kids grow in their relationship with Jesus and with one another. Whether your child is just beginning to learn about God’s love or is ready to take deeper steps in faith, there’s

A place for them here. Come grow with us as we learn, laugh and live out God’s Word together!

First Communion

We believe Holy Communion is a gift of God’s grace, given freely to all the baptized. At Emmanuel Church we welcome children to the Lord’s Table after a time of age-appropriate instruction. First communion instruction helps children and their families understand the meaning of this Holy meal:

The bread and wine are the body and blood of Christ, given and shed for us for the forgiveness of sins. Through communion we are reminded of God’s unconditional love, nourished in faith, and strengthened to live as followers of Jesus in daily life. This is a joyful milestone in a child’s faith journey, and we celebrate it together as a congregation.

Please contact Deacon Dee Schleutker if you would like your child to prepare to receive their first communion.
