REFORMATION SUNDAY - SUNDAY, OCTOBER 26th! REFORMATION SUNDAY - SUNDAY, OCTOBER 26th! Reformation Sunday commemorates the day Martin Luther posted his 95 Theses on October 31, 1517, in Wittenberg, Germany—a bold call to discuss and reform church practices, especially the sale of indulgences. This pivotal moment marked a rediscovery of the “good news” of salvation by God’s grace through faith in Jesus Christ, rather than by works.
One of the lasting legacies of the Reformation was Luther’s translation of the Bible into German, making God’s Word accessible to all people. The color for Reformation Sunday is red, symbolizing the Holy Spirit, power, and fire.
Join us next Sunday as we celebrate this historic day—and don’t forget to wear red!
YOU’RE INVITED! Pastor Rick Bliese and Howard Isaacson will be leading an Emmanuel Lutheran Global Seminary trip from January 13 -22, 2026 to visit the Lutheran Church in Rwanda and witness the impact of our ministry. We will spend a day in Istanbul's historic district on our way, two days on safari in Akagera National Park (lions, rhinos, giraffe, wart hogs, etc.) and three days in Kigali, witnessing our impact on pastors and ministries we have supported (plus sightseeing, shopping and great eating!)
The cost is projected at $3,500, which includes airfare, transfers, accommodations, food, and the safari.
Please contact Pastor Bliese at PastorRick@NaplesEmmanuel.org for more information.
SUNDAY, NOVEMBER 2 - ALL SAINTS SUNDAY.
Come worship with us on All Saints Sunday, November 2, 2025 as we remember and give thanks for all the saints—those who have gone before us in faith and those who continue to walk beside us today. As a sign of hope and resurrection, we invite you to wear white as we celebrate the light of Christ that shines through every generation of believers.
PASTOR APPRECIATION MONTH: Thank you, Pastors! During this month of appreciation, we give thanks for your faithful leadership, compassion, and the many ways you guide and care for our congregation. Your words inspire, your prayers uplift, and your presence reminds us of God’s constant love and grace.
May God continue to strengthen and bless you in every season of ministry and life. We are truly grateful for all that you do!
MODULAR UPDATE
We continue to make progress on the installation of the modular. AV wiring has been completed, electric is on and working, and our steps to both entries and the access ramp have been installed. Site work is still underway on the parking lot expansion, concrete sidewalks, landscaping and draft fire line. Carpet has been ordered and we are waiting patiently (kind of) for its receipt and installation, slated for the week of the 27th. Furnishings will follow.
Sign update: The new sign is ready for installation, pending final site preparations, including bringing in fill, staking and extending our electrical line.
PLATFORM FOR MODULAR: A big thank you to Dee and Jim Schleutker, Howard Isaacson and Juan DeDios who recently built a platform for the modular.
