LECTIONARY PLUS -

“Holy Spirit University: Graduated by God, Unleashed to the World”.

A bold word from John 14 and Acts 16 on what it means to be a Theodidact—taught by God, filled with the Spirit, and sent into the world.

Come and be set free. Come and be a Theodidact.

Take a moment to listen as Intern Pastor Beatrice D’Angelo shares her reflections on this week’s lectionary readings. Her thoughtful insights will help prepare your heart and mind for worship—and this Sunday will be especially meaningful, as it marks her final message at Emmanuel.

Let’s come together to support and celebrate Beatrice as she concludes her time with us and looks ahead to the next step in her journey.

This week’s readings:

Scripture Reading: Acts 16:9-15

Gospel: John 14:15-21, 23-29

THURSDAY BIBLE STUDY: Four Areas of Call (Vocation)

He highlighted the variations in commandment lists, noting Presbyterians combined the second and ninth commandments. The conversation also touched on the Pope's Chicago roots and the city's excitement. Richard explained the importance of the fourth commandment, which includes honoring vocations and the need for regular repentance.
