WELCOME OUR NEW MEMBERS!

This Sunday, we are excited to welcome new members to the Emmanuel family! We encourage you to introduce yourself, extend a warm greeting, and help them feel at home in our community.

Let’s make them feel truly welcomed and embraced as part of our Emmanuel family!

GRATITUDE FOR OUR HOT CROSS BUN BAKERS AND SPEAKER:

A heartfelt thank you to Pat and Pat Day and Peter Shaulis for generously baking delicious hot cross buns following our Ash Wednesday services. Your time and effort were truly appreciated!

A special thank you also goes to Mr. Pat Day for sharing his insights about the history and significance of hot cross buns at our Sunday Forum.

We are grateful for your dedication and for enriching our community in such meaningful ways!

2025 LENT AT EMMANUEL - “GIVING UP” : 2025 LENT AT EMMANUEL - “GIVING UP” : Lent is a season of reflection, repentance, and renewal. It is a time when we journey with Christ to the cross, letting go of the things that hinder our faith and opening ourselves to God's grace. This Lent, we invite you to embrace the theme "Giving Up". God would like to help and guide us to give up control, expectations, superiority, enemies, and our lives. Join us on this journey - see you in worship!

This week, we invite you to embrace the theme "Giving Up Expectations." So often, our expectations—of ourselves, of others, even of God—can limit our ability to fully experience the presence and work of Christ in our lives. By surrendering these expectations, we make room for God's surprising grace. One Church, Multiple Communities - United in Letting Go!

ORDER EASTER LILIES! As we prepare to celebrate the joy and hope of Easter at Emmanuel, we invite you to order a beautiful Easter Lily to help decorate our sanctuary. For just $20, you can brighten our worship space and honor a loved one or commemorate a special event.

Orders are being accepted now through April 10 and can be placed by filling out the order form and mail to the church or bring to the front office. You can pay online or bring a check with your order form.

Your contribution will not only add to the beauty of our sanctuary but also provide a meaningful way to honor or remember someone special during this season of renewal.

Thank you for your generosity as we come together to celebrate the resurrection of Christ!

WE NEED YOUR HELP! ALTAR GUILD VOLUNTEERS NEEDED:

After 25 years of dedicated service, Diedre Milligan will be retiring as the leader of our Altar Guild Ministry, with her final service on Easter Sunday. We are incredibly grateful for her commitment and the care she has given to this ministry over the years.

As we thank Diedre for her service, we are also looking for new volunteers to begin training in April. The Altar Guild plays an important role in preparing the altar and sacraments according to the Church Calendar. Responsibilities include:

  • Preparing the communion elements for each service

  • Refreshing communion elements between services

  • Cleaning up after the final service

We would love to build a team of volunteers—many hands make light work! If you are interested in being part of this meaningful ministry, please contact Kathleen@NaplesEmmanuel.org or Gina@NaplesEmmanuel.org for more information. Training will be provided.

Thank you for considering this opportunity to serve!

JOIN OUR SUNDAY MORNING HOSPITALITY TEAM!

Do you love serving others and meeting new people on Sundays? If so, we’d love to have you join our Hospitality Team!

We’re looking for volunteers to help prepare and serve coffee and refreshments to our members and guests before and after each Sunday service. You can choose to serve at one or both services—whatever works best for you!

If you're interested, reach out to Julie after the service, call 239-261-0894 ext. 307, or email julie@naplesemmanuel.org during the week.

Come be part of this welcoming ministry and share in the joy of fellowship!

Don’t forget to show hospitality to strangers, for some who have done this have entertained angels without realizing it!   Hebrews 13:2
