Education at Emmanuel

LECTIONARY PLUS: Prepare for Worship This Sunday.

This Week’s Readings: Acts 10:34-43 • Ephesians 2:8-9 • Matthew 3:13-17

In this week’s Lectionary Plus, Pastor Bliese leads us into the season of Epiphany—a time of revelation, when God makes known who Jesus is and what He has come to do. As the Christmas season draws to a close, Epiphany opens the door to the beginning of Jesus’ public ministry.

Through the story of Jesus’ baptism, we witness a powerful moment of revelation: Jesus is declared the Son of God, beloved and chosen. Pastor Bliese reflects on how this moment reveals Jesus’ identity and mission, and how God’s grace—freely given—stands at the center of our faith.

Join us this Sunday as Pastor Bliese offers deeper insight into these readings and invites us to reflect on how epiphany moments continue to shape our faith today—revealing Christ to us again and again, and reminding us that our faith is grounded in God’s gracious self-revelation.
