Oil Well Road Updates

MODULAR UPDATE:
Exciting progress continues on the modular site! The fire draft line—an important step for fire safety—is expected to be completed within the next 10 days. Sidewalks are now in place, and site grading is nearly finished. The parking area is prepped and ready for paver installation, which will add a polished look to the space. In about 10 days, new grass and plantings will be added, bringing color and life to the site and making it look more complete every day!

REFORMATION SUNDAY - THIS SUNDAY - WEAR RED

Reformation Sunday commemorates the day Martin Luther posted his 95 Theses on October 31, 1517, in Wittenberg, Germany—a courageous call to reform church practices and renew faith in God’s grace. This pivotal moment sparked a rediscovery of the “good news” of salvation through God’s grace alone, received by faith in Jesus Christ rather than by works.

One of Luther’s most enduring legacies was his translation of the Bible into German, opening the door for all people to read and understand God’s Word for themselves. The color for Reformation Sunday is red, symbolizing the Holy Spirit’s power, passion, and fire.

Join us this Sunday as we celebrate this historic day—and don’t forget to wear red!

CALL COMMITTEE UPDATE: The candidate search is going very well. We have a specific candidate that is moving further into the interviewing process and we are hopeful that we will continue to move in the right direction. Please continue to pray for the CALL COMMITTEE during this discernment process.

SUNDAY SCHOOL - GROW WITH US!

The seeds we planted on the first day of Sunday School have blossomed into a beautiful flower garden—a reminder that, just like these flowers, our children continue to grow and flourish in faith.

SUNDAY, NOVEMBER 2 - ALL SAINTS SUNDAY.

Come worship with us on All Saints Sunday, November 2, 2025 as we remember and give thanks for all the saints—those who have gone before us in faith and those who continue to walk beside us today. As a sign of hope and resurrection, we invite you to wear white as we celebrate the light of Christ that shines through every generation of believers.

PASTOR APPRECIATION MONTH: Thank you, Pastors! During this month of appreciation, we give thanks for your faithful leadership, compassion, and the many ways you guide and care for our congregation. Your words inspire, your prayers uplift, and your presence reminds us of God’s constant love and grace.

May God continue to strengthen and bless you in every season of ministry and life. We are truly grateful for all that you do!

YOU’RE INVITED! Pastor Rick Bliese and Howard Isaacson will be leading an Emmanuel Lutheran Global Seminary trip from January 13 -22, 2026 to visit the Lutheran Church in Rwanda and witness the impact of our ministry. We will spend a day in Istanbul's historic district on our way, two days on safari in Akagera National Park (lions, rhinos, giraffe, wart hogs, etc.) and three days in Kigali, witnessing our impact on pastors and ministries we have supported (plus sightseeing, shopping and great eating!)

The cost is projected at $3,500, which includes airfare, transfers, accommodations, food, and the safari.

Please contact Pastor Bliese at PastorRick@NaplesEmmanuel.org for more information.
