LENTEN DEVOTION FROM OUR PASTORS:
This video will offer a time for reflection, prayer, and spiritual growth.
As we continue our journey through Lent, we invite you to join us for a time of reflection, prayer, and spiritual growth. This week, as we reflect on the challenge of loving our enemies, we are reminded that God’s love extends beyond human boundaries. Psalm 139 assures us that we are fully known and cherished by God, just as our neighbors—and even our adversaries—are. Jesus’ words in Matthew 5 push us beyond our natural inclinations, calling us into a love that transforms hearts, relationships, and communities.
Loving our enemies does not mean ignoring justice or excusing harm, but it does mean seeing others through the lens of God’s grace. When we pray for those who oppose us, we begin to understand them as fellow children of God, shaped by their own struggles and experiences. Jesus reminds us that the love of God shines on all people, not just those we find easy to love.
May we open our hearts to the difficult work of reconciliation, trusting that God’s love can heal divisions and bring peace where there was once enmity.
We hope this time of reflection brings renewal and inspiration to your Lenten journey. We look forward to gathering together with you this Sunday.

BIBLE STUDY - THURSDAYS AT 10:30 AM: Richard Bliese led a discussion on baptism and catechism, emphasizing the importance of understanding the theological nuances. The group discussed the significance of baptism, including its role in forgiving sins, redeeming from death and the devil, and providing eternal salvation. They debated the validity of infant baptism versus adult baptism, the importance of daily repentance, and the role of the Word of God in baptism. The conversation also touched on the practical aspects of baptism, such as the use of water and oil, and the role of sponsors. The discussion centers on the spiritual significance of baptism in Christian faith, emphasizing its role in the life of Christ and the process of overcoming original sin. Richard Bliese explains that baptism is a mystical and real entry into Christ's life, symbolizing death to sin and resurrection to a new life. The conversation highlights the ongoing relevance of baptism, its daily spiritual impact, and the hope it provides for personal renewal. The meeting concludes with a prayer expressing gratitude for baptism and the experience of new creation. NOTES FROM TODAY’S CLASS - 3/27/25
