2025 LENT AT EMMANUEL - “GIVING UP” : 2025 LENT AT EMMANUEL - “GIVING UP” : Lent is a season of reflection, repentance, and renewal. It is a time when we journey with Christ to the cross, letting go of the things that hinder our faith and opening ourselves to God's grace. This Lent, we invite you to embrace the theme "Giving Up". God would like to help and guide us to give up control, expectations, superiority, enemies, and our lives. Join us on this journey - see you in worship!

As we journey together in faith, this week's theme, "Giving Up Enemies," invites us to examine how we view others, particularly those with whom we struggle. Jesus calls us to let go of hostility and embrace the radical love of God, even for those we consider our enemies. One Church, Multiple Communities - United in Letting Go!

HOLY WEEK AT EMMANUEL LUTHERAN CHURCH: A Journey through Christ’s Passion, Death, and Resurrection

Welcome to Holy Week! This sacred time invites us to walk with Jesus from His entry into Jerusalem on Palm Sunday to the glory of His resurrection on Easter Sunday. Each service tells part of the story, and just as you wouldn’t miss a page in a captivating book, you shouldn’t miss any of these services. Each one deepens our understanding of God’s love and the hope of the resurrection.

Why You Shouldn't Miss Any of the Services. Holy Week is a continuous story. Each service — from Palm Sunday to Easter — invites us to experience Christ's love and sacrifice. To fully appreciate Easter, we must walk with Jesus through His suffering, death, and resurrection. Every service builds on the last, deepening our faith and hope.

FINANACIAL UPDATE: Did You Know?

Our ongoing renovations, including the revitalized sanctuary, updates to the chapel, Family Life Center, and several offices, are all fully funded by the Capital Campaign—a testament to your generosity!

As of March 24th, our contributions are $16,000 ahead compared to the same period last year (excluding Easter). However, we are currently $233,000 behind our budgeted giving. On a positive note, expenses are $80,000 under budget, bringing the net difference to $153,000.

We are grateful for your continued support and appreciate your generosity as we work together to sustain and grow our ministry. Thank you!

JOIN US FOR OUR LAST BOOK CLUB MEETING FOR THIS SEASON! Our next meeting is this Monday, April 14th at 2 PM in Classroom 2. You can enter directly into this room through the door on the north side of the church building. (It’s best to park in the back parking lot.) We will be discussing the book, Sensible Shoes by Sharon Garlough Brown.

CHAPEL AND SANCTUARY REFRESH UPDATE - PROGRESS AND GRATITUDE!

Exciting updates are underway! The chapel refresh is making great strides, with fresh paint, a new rug, updated lighting, and beautiful accents around the cross. After addressing some mold concerns, the space is coming together beautifully and will soon serve as a welcoming place for prayer, reflection, and meaningful conversations throughout the week, with hopes of being actively used before and after worship on Sundays.

Meanwhile, the sanctuary refresh is nearly complete, with just a few lighting updates left to finalize. These transformations have been made possible through the incredible generosity of a donor who fully funded both projects—without impacting the general fund. Thank you for your prayers and support! Stay tuned for more updates.

FOOD PACKING EVENT A HUGE SUCCESS!

Our Food Packing Event at Emmanuel was an incredible success! In just 90 minutes, we packed 20,000 oatmeal breakfast meals, all of which will be distributed right here in Collier County to help those in need.

A huge thank you to the 91 volunteers and Emmanuel staff who gave their time and energy to make this happen. It was not only a chance to serve our community but also an opportunity to share a meal and build connections with one another.

Together, we are making a difference!
