2025 LENT AT EMMANUEL - “GIVING UP” : Lent is a season of reflection, repentance, and renewal. It is a time when we journey with Christ to the cross, letting go of the things that hinder our faith and opening ourselves to God's grace. This Lent, we invite you to embrace the theme "Giving Up". God would like to help and guide us to give up control, expectations, superiority, enemies, and our lives. Join us on this journey - see you in worship!
As we journey together in faith, this week's theme, "Giving Up Enemies," invites us to examine how we view others, particularly those with whom we struggle. Jesus calls us to let go of hostility and embrace the radical love of God, even for those we consider our enemies. One Church, Multiple Communities - United in Letting Go!
HOLY WEEK AT EMMANUEL LUTHERAN CHURCH: A Journey through Christ’s Passion, Death, and Resurrection
Welcome to Holy Week! This sacred time invites us to walk with Jesus from His entry into Jerusalem on Palm Sunday to the glory of His resurrection on Easter Sunday. Each service tells part of the story, and just as you wouldn’t miss a page in a captivating book, you shouldn’t miss any of these services. Each one deepens our understanding of God’s love and the hope of the resurrection.
Why You Shouldn't Miss Any of the Services. Holy Week is a continuous story. Each service — from Palm Sunday to Easter — invites us to experience Christ's love and sacrifice. To fully appreciate Easter, we must walk with Jesus through His suffering, death, and resurrection. Every service builds on the last, deepening our faith and hope.

EXCITING CHAPEL AND SANCTUARY REFRESH UPDATE!
Great progress is being made on our chapel refresh project! After addressing some mold issues in the chapel, we’re thrilled to see fresh paint, a new rug, updated lighting, and special accents around the cross all coming together beautifully. The chapel will soon be a welcoming space for prayer, reflection, and meaningful one-on-one conversations throughout the week, with hopes for its active use on Sunday mornings before and after worship.
We’re also excited to announce that the sanctuary refresh is now mostly complete, with just a few final lighting updates left to finish. Both projects have been made possible through the generosity of a donor who pledged to fund them entirely, ensuring that no monies came out of the general fund. Thank you for your continued prayers and support. Stay tuned for more updates!
FINANACIAL UPDATE: Did You Know?
Our ongoing renovations, including the revitalized sanctuary, updates to the chapel, Family Life Center, and several offices, are all fully funded by the Capital Campaign—a testament to your generosity!
As of March 24th, our contributions are $16,000 ahead compared to the same period last year (excluding Easter). However, we are currently $233,000 behind our budgeted giving. On a positive note, expenses are $80,000 under budget, bringing the net difference to $153,000.
We are grateful for your continued support and appreciate your generosity as we work together to sustain and grow our ministry. Thank you!
