The theme of this week’s readings is temptation. We are constantly tempted to take shortcuts, to turn away from God’s will, and to choose what seems easier rather than what is faithful. Scripture reminds us of our human tendency to make the wrong choice—but also of God’s grace.
When temptation comes our way, we are not alone. Through the power of the Holy Spirit, we are equipped to resist and to say “no.”
