A NEW CHAPTER FOR OUR CHAPEL - COME AND SEE IT!
Remember when our chapel looked like this? We invite you to stop by the chapel this Sunday and see how the space has transformed! Come witness the updates and experience the renewed spirit of this special place.
We’re thrilled to announce that our newly refreshed Chapel is complete and ready to welcome you! While we could try to describe how beautiful the space has become, words (and even photos) don’t do it justice. We invite you to come and experience it for yourself — a peaceful, sacred space made possible through the generosity of a donor to our capital campaign.
Enjoy a little teaser photo to the right… but trust us, you’ll want to see it in person. Join us for worship and be a part of this special new chapter in the life of our congregation.
The chapel is now open for prayer, quiet visits, and future life events that will continue to bring people together in faith, love and community.
Following worship, our Stephen Ministers will be available in the Chapel for a brief prayer, blessing, or quiet moment of care if you so desire.
We can’t wait to welcome you in!
A JOYFUL GATHERING IN WORSHIP AND FELLOWSHIP:
Last Sunday, over 200 people from across our Emmanuel communities came together for a beautiful joint worship service followed by a lively picnic in the Family Life Center. It was a joyful day of connection, celebration, and community.
Events like this are only possible through the dedication and teamwork of many helping hands. While we’re grateful for everyone who contributed and all the excellent food everyone brought, we’d like to extend a special thank-you to those who went above and beyond—helping with setup, grilling, food service, and cleanup:
Keith McCullen, Clayton Blomseth, Beth McCullen, Jean Lee, Janet Haughn, Dee Schleutker, and Jan Donnell.
Your hard work and servant hearts made this day so memorable. Thank you!
LAST WEEK WE AWARDED ELEVEN STUDENTS SCHOLARSHIPS FOR CONTINUING EDUCATION! The Committee selected these students based on their active involvement in church life, participation in youth ministry, commitment to serving the community, and dedication to their educational goals.
Since its inception 16 years ago, the scholarship program has awarded 86 scholarships—this year’s total of $9,500 brings the cumulative disbursement to an inspiring $96,000.
Please join us in praying for these exceptional young people as they embark on the next exciting chapter of their journey. We are incredibly proud of each of them!
This meaningful program exists thanks to the vision and generosity of our founding partners, Marge Herbst and her late husband, Charlie, along with many others who have faithfully supported the fund over the years. If you would like to contribute to the Youth Scholarship Fund and help invest in the future of our young people, please make your check payable to Emmanuel Lutheran Church and write “Youth Scholarship” in the memo line or click on the link below to donate online.
Thank you for helping us encourage and equip the next generation!
BIBLE CAMP INSPIRES OUR YOUTH: From June 2–6, our Emmanuel communities came together for an exciting and faith-filled Bible Camp, welcoming 25 children from Kindergarten through 5th grade. Under the leadership of our dedicated Children's Coordinator, Nieves Lebron, the week was filled with joy, learning, and spiritual growth. With the support of four enthusiastic counselors from Lutheran Outdoor Ministries of Florida and two of our own ECC youth volunteers, the children enjoyed a variety of activities including games, crafts, and engaging lessons about God's love.
Centered around the theme "The Word Near You," inspired by Romans 10:8, the camp helped children discover how God's word is close to their hearts and part of their everyday lives. It was a beautiful week of community, connection, and faith.
