LECTIONARY PLUS: Prepare for Worship This Sunday.

This Week’s Readings:

Luke 6:20–31 and Ephesians 1:11–23.

In this week’s Gospel, Luke shares the Beatitudes—the blessings that Jesus lovingly bestows upon us. These words inspire us to live as saints of God. This Sunday is a time of both joy and sadness—filled with gratitude for those who have gone before us and hope for the promise we share in Christ.

In the Lutheran tradition, saints are not perfect people, but forgiven sinners—people just like us, made holy through God’s grace. During worship, you will be invited to light a candle in memory of any saints who have touched your life.

Watch the video, then join Pastor Lillejord on Sunday as he shares more of his reflections and insights during worship.

THIS WEEK’S SUNDAY FORUM! Talking to the Saints: possible, helpful, God pleasing?  In this week’s Sunday Forum, we’ll explore the question “What is the Lutheran teaching about talking to the dead?”

Watch the video, and then join Pastor Bliese, this Sunday for a discussion about talking to the Saints.
