LECTIONARY PLUS: Prepare for Worship This Sunday.
This Week’s Readings:
Psalm 148 • Isaiah 63:7-9 • Matthew 2:13-23
Lectionary Plus explores this week’s Scripture readings, with Pastor Lillejord offering insight into an unexpected “left turn” in the Gospel of Matthew. What begins as a story of birth and promise quickly turns dark as Herod seeks to destroy the newborn child.
This passage reminds us that life is not always easy and that evil is real—but it also proclaims hope. Jesus was born into a broken world to confront evil and bring salvation.
Join us this Sunday to hear more from Pastor Lillejord as he reflects on this powerful reading and shares how Jesus was born for us.
