Emmanuel Park Updates

CHRISTMAS EVE AT EMMANUEL PARK CHURCH PAVILION: Christmas Eve Service will be held at 5:00 PM. We will celebrate with a Live Nativity, a sing-along, Holy Communion and Candle lighting. Please join us for the celebration of the birth of Jesus Christ!

CHRISTMAS CAROLING: Last Sunday a group from Emmanuel brought joy and festive cheer to the residents of Solari Senior Living by singing Christmas carols. The melodies of beloved holiday classics filled the halls, creating a warm and joyful atmosphere. Residents joined in the singing, clapping along, and sharing smiles that lit up the room. This act of kindness and fellowship reminded everyone of the true spirit of Christmas—spreading love, hope, and connection. It was a heartwarming experience for both the singers and the residents, leaving everyone with cherished memories of the holiday season.

INTERVIEWING CANDIDATES FOR THE NEXT PASTOR AT THE PARK: The call committee has been very busy these past few weeks. The call process involves multiple stages to ensure the right candidate is selected. After interviewing five promising candidates, the pool has been narrowed down to two top contenders. These two individuals stood out for their qualifications, skills, and alignment with the role's requirements. As the new year approaches, the call committee will progress to the next stage of the process, which will include more in-depth interviews and a visit to Naples to assess their fit for the Park and Emmanuel’s culture. This step allows the call committee to make a thoughtful, informed decision on who is best suited for the position.

EMMANUEL PARK MODULAR WORSHIP BUILDING :

We are actively collaborating with engineers, contractors, vendors, and county staff to bring Emmanuel Park Church’s interim modular worship building to life. While our timeline has been adjusted, our priority remains ensuring that the structure is thoughtfully designed and fully approved for worship gatherings. Because no suitable pre-owned or leasable units exist, a brand new, custom-built unit is being crafted to serve our community’s needs for the coming years as we work to design, fund, and construct a permanent worship hall.

This custom modular will be a 36 x 60 structure with 9’ ceilings. It will be much nicer and larger than initial ideas. We do not have an estimate of time at the moment as we navigate Collier County’s complex construction standards and approval for location site. We need to have the design work completed, then engineering work completed by the manufacturer, with engineering to be reviewed and approved by county.  On county approval of structural plan, unit goes into manufacturing..... then site prep, electrical lines,  delivery, installation and certificate of occupancy.

We appreciate your continued patience and support as we strive to create a welcoming, high-quality worship space for all.

MEALS OF HOPE AT EMMANUEL PARK:

Due to holidays, Christmas Day and New Years Day, falling on Wednesdays, Meals of Hope will be taking a break on December 25 and January 1. We will resume distributing food on Wednesday, January 8, 2025. Please sign up to volunteer in the New Year.
