Community Care Updates
WHAT IS A STEPHEN MINISTER? Stephen Ministers come from all walks of life, but they all share a passion for bringing Christ’s love and care to people during a time of need. They are lay congregation members trained to provide one-to-one care to those experiencing a difficult time in life, such as grief, divorce, job loss, chronic or terminal illness, or relocation. A Stephen Minister typically has one care receiver at a time and meets with that person once a week for about an hour.
On Sunday, March 23, we are recognizing our Stephen Ministers. They will be volunteering during the service and available after the services to meet with people and answer questions about the program.
If you would like to learn more about having a Stephen Minister for yourself or for a friend, or would like to become a Stephen Minister reach out to Julie@naplesemmanuel.org. Our Stephen Ministers are ready to care for you and pray with you for your spiritual needs one on one.
